Stock prices of contributing companies varied after Chandrayaan-3's success

Centum Electronics surged by 7.26% while Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd soared by 6.13%.

Chandrayaan-3: Following the successful landing of ISRO's Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft near the moon's south pole, the stock prices of several contributing companies saw varied movements on Thursday.

Individual stocks 

While Centum Electronics surged by 7.26 per cent, Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd soared by 6.13 per cent, MTAR Technologies rose by 3.83 per cent, and Bharat Forge advanced by 0.72 per cent on the BSE. Centum Electronics and Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd saw significant morning gains of 19.69 per cent and 17.30 per cent respectively.

Centum Electronics supplied over 200 critical modules for the Chandrayaan-3 mission, as per the company's website. However, Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd shares declined by 2.54 per cent, BHEL dropped 1.78 per cent, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd fell 1.60 per cent, Larsen & Toubro went down by 1.10 per cent, and Astra Microwave Products dipped 0.10 per cent.

Many of these firms reached their 52-week highs during the day's trading. Aerospace and defence-related companies also witnessed gains on Wednesday. In the broader equity market, the BSE Sensex ended with a decrease of 180.96 points at 65,252.34.
