Role Summary
We are looking for a technically sound and proactive Broadcast IT & Technical Support Executive to manage and support Video Servers, Automation Systems, Newsroom NRCS, Network Infrastructure, Hardware, and Graphics (Online/Offline) operations. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of broadcast and newsroom technical systems with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Video Server Management
- Monitor and maintain video servers used for content ingest, playout, and archiving.
- Troubleshoot server-related issues and ensure seamless media availability.
- Coordinate with editorial and production teams for media access and management.
2. Automation System Support
- Manage broadcast automation systems to ensure smooth channel playout.
- Schedule and monitor playlists and transmission logs.
- Identify and resolve automation-related technical issues.
3. Newsroom NRCS Support
- Provide technical support for Newsroom Computer Systems (NRCS).
- Assist editorial teams with rundowns, scripts, and system troubleshooting.
- Ensure seamless integration between NRCS, automation, and video servers.
4. Hardware Support
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, workstations, and peripheral devices.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware-related issues.
- Conduct regular system health checks and preventive maintenance.
5. Graphics (Online/Offline) Support
- Provide technical assistance for graphics systems used in live and non-live production.
- Ensure smooth integration of graphics systems with newsroom and automation systems.
- Troubleshoot rendering, template, and output-related issues.
- Provide technical support for Vizrt and WASP graphics systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Electronics, Broadcast Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Broadcast IT / Media / Technical Support environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of video servers, automation systems, and NRCS.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, switching, and routing.
- Familiarity with broadcast graphics systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts in a 24×7 broadcast environment.
