Education without hunger: The Akshaya Patra Foundation has expanded its reach with the inauguration of a new centralised kitchen in Panvel, Maharashtra. The newly inaugurated kitchen facility in Panvel will enable the foundation to amplify its impact and execute the government's flagship school feeding programme, PM POSHAN.

Facility to feed 10,000 children 

With the capacity to serve 10,000 children across 70 schools in Panvel, Maharashtra, this initiative underlines Akshaya Patra's aim of equal educational opportunities and addressing nutritional deficiencies among school-aged children.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Shri Deepak Vasant Kesarkar, Cabinet Minister for School Education and Marathi Language, Government of Maharashtra, who further emphasised the collaborative efforts between the foundation and governmental entities. 

By aligning with government initiatives and leveraging its operational expertise, the foundation continues to make strides in fulfilling its vision of a hunger-free education for all children.
