In a move to bolster employability, the Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Ministry of the Maharashtra government has unveiled plans to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) for crafting resumes for one lakh job seekers.
The brainchild of Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, this initiative aims to address the common hurdle faced by many job seekers – the lack of a high-quality resume, as highlighted in an official statement by the state government.
Recognising that despite ample employment opportunities, individuals often encounter setbacks in the initial stages due to subpar resumes, Minister Lodha is championing the use of AI to offer digital resumes to the youth. The state government's statement outlines a user-friendly process where individuals can receive top-notch resumes in minutes by simply sending a message to 8655826684 on WhatsApp and responding to a few straightforward questions.
As part of this comprehensive initiative, the government plans to organise 280 job fairs, with future events in the pipeline. These job fairs seek to provide a platform for the youth to explore employment opportunities. However, the statement notes that many encounter challenges in the recruitment process due to the absence of a well-crafted resume.
