The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has achieved success; as many as 85 IIT Bombay students have received high-paying job offers from within India and abroad.

During this year's job placement season at IIT-B, many students who got good jobs were from the research and development field. The average package for these jobs was Rs 36.9 lakh, which is higher than last year's package of Rs 32.25 lakh.

In the first half of 2023–24 campus placements, 388 organizations took part in the IIT Bombay placement session, including companies providing job opportunities before the event.

A wide range of recruiting companies, including engineering, technology, finance, banking, fintech, management consulting, and data science companies, also showed their presence.

Highlighting the global opportunities in career, 63 students received job offers from countries like Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Hong Kong. In India, 85 students secured yearly packages, exceeding the amount of Rs. 1 crore.

As IIT Bombay mentioned, some of the top recruiting companies that have visited the campus during placement sessions are Accenture, Airbus, Air India, Apple, Arthur D. Little, Bajaj, Barclays, Cohesity, Da Vinci, DHL, Fullerton, Future First, GE-ITC, and Global Energy. Other firms include Honda R&D, ICICI-Lombard, Idea Forge, IMC Trading, Intel, Jaguar Land Rover, JP Morgan Chase, JSW, Kotak Securities, Marsh McLennan, Mahindra Group, Micron, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, Mercedes-Benz, L&T, NK Securities, OLA, P&G, Qualcomm, Reliance Group, Samsung, Schlumberger, Strand Life Sciences, Tata Group, Texas Instruments, TSMC, TVS Group, and Wells Fargo.
