CBSE Board Exams 2024: 'No distinction, overall division to be awarded to classes 10, 12 students'

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will not award overall division or distinction to the students appearing for CBSE class 10th and 12th board exams. The CBSE exam controller Sanyam Bhardwaj has made this announcement on Thursday.
CBSE in its latest notification stated that it received requests from various persons to intimate the criteria for calculating the percentage of students in the board exams. Cbse has thus informed that no overall division/ distinction/aggregate will be awarded to the class 10th and 12th students.
Also, if a candidate has offered more than 5 subjects, the decision to determine the best 5 subjects may be taken by the admitting institution or employer. Further it is informed that the board does not calculate/ declare/ inform percentage of marks. If the percentage of marks is required for higher education or in employment of calculation if any, may be done by admitting institution or employer.

CBSE is all set to begin the practical exams, project works and internal assessment for class 10th and 12th students from January 1. The CBSE annual board exams (theory) will begin on February 15, 2024. CBSE will soon release the class 10th and 12th board exam date sheet 2024.
