COMEDK UGET 2024 on May 12 for admissions to engineering colleges in Karnataka

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) Undergraduate entrance test (UGET) 2024 will be conducted on May 12, 2024.

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) Undergraduate entrance test (UGET) 2024 will be conducted on May 12, 2024. The notification for the same will be released in due course of time. The registrations will begin in the month of February, 2024. 

"Since inception, COMEDK has been conducting its entrance test on the second Sunday of May every year and because of COVID-19 pandemic, the schedule had to be altered. However, COMEDK has been mandated by KUPECA to conduct its Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET – 2024) for Engineering Courses on the second Sunday of May and the same will be conducted on Sunday the 12th May 2024 for admission to Engineering Courses in COMEDK member institutions," an official notification reads.

Executive Secretary, COMEDK in its latest notice has cautioned the aspirants to not rely on third parties like Internet cafe, education consultants or random websites for COMEDK related activities like registrations, downloading admit cards, rank cards, counselling etc. They are advised to do it on their own. 

"It has come to our notice that even though COMEDK has cautioned them, some of the candidates are still depending upon third parties such as Internet Cafe, Education Consultants, random websites etc. for all COMEDK related activities, be it making application, downloading TAT or Rank cards, choice filling in the counseling and payment of fees. COMEDK again advises aspiring candidates and their parents/guardians against such third parties which may result in compromising your personal details which may fall into the wrong hands and you may incur financial loss. The candidates and their parents/guardians doing such activities by whatever means will be doing so at their own risk and consequences. COMEDK will not be liable for any loss or damage that may be suffered or incurred directly or indirectly in this regard. COMEDK advises the candidates to bring these activities to the notice of the concerned law enforcement authorities," the notice reads.

Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association (KUPECA) comprising of more than 150 Engineering colleges in Karnataka have joined together and have entrusted COMEDK with the responsibility of conducting the entrance examination and seat selection process based on a single common entrance test followed by centralized counselling to students seeking admissions in their member institutions so as to ensure fair and merit based admissions as envisaged in the above judgments.
