NEET PG 2024: Dress Code, List of Items Banned in Exam Centre, Things To Carry on Exam-Day

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 is scheduled to commence tomorrow, June 23, across designated test centers nationwide. Candidates appearing for the exam are reminded of essential guidelines and instructions to ensure a smooth and fair conduct of the examination. NEET PG 2024 will begin sharply at 9:00 AM. Candidates are advised to report to their respective examination centers well in advance. The gate to the examination center will close at 8:30 AM. Late entry beyond this time will not be permitted under any circumstances.

Dress Code:

Candidates are required to adhere to a specific dress code:
- Light clothes with half sleeves are preferable.
- Shoes are allowed. However, avoid wearing shoes with thick soles and garments with large buttons or any elaborate embroidery that might be construed as hiding devices.

Items to Carry:

Candidates must compulsorily carry the following items to the examination lab:
- Admit Card for NEET PG 2024
- Valid ID proof (Aadhar Card, Passport, Voter ID, or any other government-issued ID)
- PwD (Persons with Disabilities) certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if applicable and claiming scribe/extra-time as per RPwD Act, 2016.

Prohibited Items: 

Candidates are strictly prohibited from carrying the following items beyond the security checkpoint at the examination premises:
- Any stationery item such as printed or written material, notes, calculators, pens, writing pads, etc.
- Electronic devices including mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, electronic pens/scanners, etc.
- Ornaments like bracelets, rings, earrings, nose-pins, necklaces, pendants, badges, brooches, etc.
- Items like wallets, goggles, handbags, belts, caps, etc.
- Any eatable item, opened or packed, soft drinks, water bottles, etc.
- Any other item that could potentially be used for unfair means, including wireless/Bluetooth devices, spy cameras, etc.

Security and Fair Conduct:

No arrangements will be made at the examination centers for safekeeping of any articles/items belonging to the candidates. Any possession of the barred items beyond the security checkpoint will be treated as a violation of exam rules, and appropriate action will be taken against the candidate as per the relevant provisions.

Candidates are urged to carefully review and comply with these instructions to avoid any inconvenience or disciplinary actions during the NEET PG 2024 examination. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) emphasizes fair play and integrity throughout the examination process, ensuring a level playing field for all candidates.
