New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the NEET-UG 2024 revised topper list today, July 26. With the release of the revised topper list, the number of toppers is expected to slip down from 61 to 17, as the Supreme Court has ordered NTA to re-count the marks treating only one answer correct to the ambiguous Physics question.

Earlier, NTA awarded full marks for two options in a question, treating both of them as correct. However, the court ordered IIT-Delhi to form a panel to decide one correct answer to that question. The committee decided that only option number 4 is correct. Thus, the candidates who opted for option number 2 will lose the marks, which will eventually lead to a dip in ranks of around 4.3 lakh candidates and 44 toppers.
