GATE Exam Result 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology ( IIT ) Roorkee has declared the GATE 2025 results. Candidates can check their scores on the official websites: gate2025.iitr.ac.in and goaps.iitr.ac.in.
To access their results, candidates need to visit the GOAPS portal or the GATE official website and log in using their enrolment ID and password. As in previous years, separate ranks and scores will be provided for sectional papers XE, XH, and XL.
The GATE 2025 scores will be valid for three years from the date of the result declaration.
GATE 2025: Understanding Score Calculation and Ranking
For subjects with a single exam session, candidates’ actual marks are used to determine their GATE 2025 score. However, for papers conducted in multiple sessions, raw marks are normalised to ensure fairness before calculating the final score.
The All-India Rank (AIR) is assigned based on a candidate’s marks in comparison to others. Each qualifying candidate receives a rank, which plays a key role in determining their admission to various institutes and colleges for further studies.
Step 1: Go to the official website: gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the GATE 2025 Result link on the homepage.
Step 3: Enter your login details and submit.
Step 4: The GATE 2025 Scorecard will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Download and save the scorecard in PDF format.
Step 6: Keep a copy for future use.
Candidates who qualify for GATE 2025 and require their scorecards after 31st May will have to pay a fee of Rs -500 per test paper.
As per the official notification, GATE 2025 scorecards will not be available from 1st January 2026 onwards, and no hard copies will be issued.
GATE 2025 scores can be used for admission into:
Master’s and Direct Doctoral Programmes in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, and Humanities.
Doctoral Programmes in relevant fields of Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, and Humanities at institutions funded by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and other government bodies.
