The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha has officially opened the registration for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2024. Candidates interested in applying can submit their registration forms on the official website, bseodisha.ac.in, with the deadline set for July 5.
Exam Structure
The OTET 2024 will consist of two papers, each conducted for 2.5 hours. Both papers will feature Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with each question carrying one mark. Notably, there will be no negative marking.
OTET Eligibility Criteria
Category A:
- Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd).
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd).
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (BEd).

Category B:
- Graduation and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and a 1-year Bachelor in Education (BEd).
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and a 1-year Bachelor in Education (BEd) as per NCTE regulations.
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (BElEd).
- Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 4-year BA-BScEd or BAEd-BScEd.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and a 1-year BEd (Special Education).
Minimum Qualifying Marks
- General Category: 60%
- SC/ST/SEBC/OBC: 50%

Application Fees
SC/ST Candidates: Rs 600 for a single paper, Rs 900 for both papers.
- Other Categories: Rs 900 for a single paper, Rs 1,400 for both papers.
