With three days left for the first phase of Lok Sabha election, Tejashwi Yadav launched the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)'s election manifesto called "Pratibadhata Patra" (commitment manifesto) on Monday, which enlisted promises ranging from reservation based on population to a national action plan for job growth.

While releasing the manifesto, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said that the party promises reservation to Dalits and the backward classes on the basis of the proportion of their population, adding that promotions will be granted in government jobs based on reservation.

Later, Tejashwi Yadav highlighted that the gathbandhan has decided to make toddy(liquor) legal in the state, which the Nitish led-NDA government had made illegal. However, he said that this 'promise' has not been included in the manifesto.

He also said that the gathbandhan supports the NYAY minimum income guarantee scheme by the Rahul Gandhi-led Congress.
