Big Fight within Congress: Pramod Krishnam accuses Shatrughan Sinha of still being RSS member, attacks his Lucknow opponent's husband for 'helping' Rajnath Singh

Hours after Congress leader Shatrughan Sinha campaigned for his wife Poonam Sinha and called Akhilesh Yadav his role-model, Congress candidate from Lucknow Pramod Krishnam claimed that Shatrughan is cutting the votes of the Congress party.

On Friday, Krishnam while speaking to news agency ANI said:

"Although Shatrughan Sinha has left BJP, he is still a member of RSS. He is cutting the votes of Congress and benefiting Rajnath Singh. He talks about family first but he is spoiling the reputation of Priyanka Gandhi and the party. For me, the party comes first. Shatrughan Sinha is a friend of Rajnath, but he must remember if he is trying to cut the votes of Congress, he will not succeed. Congress will not be defeated. Congress will win. In this Mahabharata of Lucknow hatred will be defeated. Shatrughan should stop deceiving the Congress"

Attacking the SP-BSP-RLD gathbandhan and BSP supremo Mayawati, he went on to say that:

"Rahul Gandhi is not afraid of ED and CBI but gathbandhan leaders are. All the big ministers were raided but not Mayawati, I ask why. Congress will form government in 2019 and Rahul Gandhi ji will be Prime Minister. Rahul doesn't need gathbandhan to win UP."

Earlier, on the day of filing the nomination papers in Lucknow, Shatrughan Sinha had accompanied his wife Poonam Sinha who is SP's candidate from Lucknow and campaigned for her. He had then said: 'family comes first then party'.

"Party bohot pyaara hai mujko lekin parivaar se baad kar nahi ho sakta hai. Yeh parivaar ke prati kartavya hai mera."

(I love my party but family is my priority. Family comes first. This is my duty towards my family.)

Acharya Krishnam had then said: 

"Mai Shatrughan Sinha se mila unke saath hi baitha tha. Shatrughan Sinha ji Congress ke candidate hai Patna se. Mai Shatrugun Sinha ji se darkhast karna chahta hoon ke Vo Patna se chunav laad rahe hai unka chunav mai vaha se ladanga aur yaha vo mere chunav ladaye. Unhone patni dharam nibahaya hai aap party dharam bhi nibahaye".    

(I met Shatrughan Sinha. Requesting him as he is a Congress candidate to campaign for me in Lucknow. He should follow party protocol. I want to say only Congress will win in Lucknow and not any other party. If he wants I will also campaign for him in Patna Sahib. He fulfiled his duty towards his wife now it's time for his party.)
