Hours after the embarrassing goof up in the Twitter post wherein he used Paraguay's flag instead of Indian flag, Robert Vadra took to social media to state that India lives in his heart and he salutes the Indian flag 'Tiranga'.

Sharing a picture of himself wherein he can be seen waving the Indian tricolour in the air, he contended that "using a Paraguay flag in his post was just an aberration". He went onto express discontent with people "playing up his mistake" when there are "glaring issues to be discussed".

"It saddens me, but never mind," Congress president's brother-in-law said with a thumbs up and happy emoji in his Twitter justification.

Robert Vadra made a major gaffe in his Twitter post wherein he used the flag of Paraguay instead of the Indian flag in his message to voters after exercising his franchise. In the Twitter post, he had urged the voters to step out and vote to create a combined future for the loved ones and for a secular, safe, productive future of the country.

After the gaffe was picked up by social media, Priyanka Gandhi's husband deleted the post with the Paraguayan flag and then posted a screengrab of the post he shared on his Facebook account after casting his vote in Delhi in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha polls on Sunday. Notably, in the Facebook post, he got the flag right wherein he used the Indian tricolour.

In a new tweet, Vadra shared the screengrab with a picture of his inked finger with the hashtag #LokSabhaElections2019.
