‘Looking forward to building on the work done in the last 5 years’: PM Modi replies to Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Akshay Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, others as they wish him for his victory in the general elections

The fact that celebrities were congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi even two days after his victory in the Lok Sabha elections, is an indication of his historic achievement.

The fact that celebrities were congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi even two days after his victory in the Lok Sabha elections, is an indication of his historic achievement. As some of the biggest stars of the country sent their best wishes to PM Modi, he was courteous to reply to most of them. Not just expressing gratitude to the celebrities like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, among others, PM also highlighted the achievements of his government and intent for the future in his replies.

Almost all the celebrities associated with the film industry wished PM Modi as the ruling party National Democratic Alliance bagged 353 seats, well over the 272 needed to form the government in the 573-seat Lok Sabha. 

Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Lata Mangeshkar, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar, AR Rahman, Kartik Aaryan, Rajkummar Rao, Mohanlal, Rishi Kapoor, Madhavan, Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Riteish Deshmukh, Shankar Mahadevan, Kailash Kher received a reply from the PM. 

In his replies, PM Modi stated that it was an ‘honour to serve 130 crore Indians and work for the empowerment of the poor’, ‘transform lives and make India more developed continue with renewed vigour.’  

He also stated that he was ‘looking forward to building on the work done in the last five years to fulfil people's aspirations’. PM also wrote how the wishes inspired him to continue the hard work for the country and that ‘people's affection has been immensely humbling’, particularly of the ‘young India’ 

He promised to provide ‘good governance, empowerment of every citizen and further prosperity in our society.’ The Prime Minister also stated that he will ‘leave no stone unturned in building an India that is strong and progressive’ and that fulfils the dreams of the people.

Asserting that people's mandate is for growth, PM stated that he will continue to serve the nation with the same vigour.
