With the Lok Sabha polls days away, Republic TV has accessed exclusive details on the agendas included in the Bharatiya Janata Party's election manifesto. Top BJP sources have told that there is a notable focus on the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya in the BJP manifesto if the Narendra Modi-led party comes to power in the ensuing 2019 polls.
Furthermore, there are over 26 developmental arenas that the party is focusing on this election season, along with the construction of an Ayodhya-Kashi-Mathura corridor plan in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
BJP manifesto is expected to be released on April 8, two days ahead of the elections, which are schduled to kickstart from April 11.
Earlier, party sources told that the manifesto is likely to focus on "development, nationalism and Hindutva". Continuing with its "tough stance" on terrorism, the party's manifesto will also include "zero-tolerance" policy on terrorism. The party will be giving the slogan of "Strong India, Capable India".
"The manifesto which has been named as 'Shapath Patra' will not just include the promises but also the works done by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led A NDA government. The logic behind it is that the government has done a lot of work like Mudra, Ujjawala which was not even promised in 2014," the sources toild news agency ANI.
Meanwhile, BJP national president Amit Shah launched the party's election manifesto for a 'new Odisha' in Bhubaneshwar on Sunday.
Exuding confidence that the BJP will come to power both in Odisha and at the Centre, Amit Shah said that the party's election manifesto for the state is focused on the welfare and empowerment of farmers, women, youth and the weaker sections of society.
