There was a celebratory mood across the country on Thursday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance stormed into power in the Lok Sabha elections. Wishes for PM flooded social media and celebrities from the film industry also congratulated the leader for the massive victory. Several stars took to Twitter to send across their messages to the PM.

The celebrities congratulated the PM for the ‘big win’ and the ‘strong mandate’ as they hoped PM ‘lives up to his promise of working for an inclusive India’ and that the ‘beautiful nation’ ‘scales newer heights of growth and success’, ‘flourish and prosper in the best possible way’ and becomes a ‘stronger secular and bolder nation.’ 

The stars used terms like ‘democracy has won’, crediting the citizens’ love for PM again with the NDA winning 350 seats in the Lok Sabha while looking ahead for a ‘strong, stable & decisive govt.’ 

Several celebrities like Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal, Shahid Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Swara Bhasker, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Bhumi Pednekar, Huma Qureshi, Siddharth Malhotra, Karan Johar, Rajkummar Rao, Rishi Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar, Preity Zinta, Kapil Sharma, Simi Garewal, Suniel Shetty, Shekhar Kapur, Twinkle Khanna, Ayushmann Khurrana, Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, conveyed their wishes and messages to PM on Twitter.
