In an enthralling triangular fray in the East Delhi constituency of NCT of Delhi between AAP, Congress and BJP contenders, the NC leader has corroborated his pick for the seat. 

Rooting for AAP's Atishi Marlena, who is recalled for the role she played in revamping government schools in the capital city. 

In a tweet, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir consolidated his support for the AAP candidate announcing that if he had a vote in Delhi, he'd like to give it to Marlena, for her 'struggle to reform education' from Lok Sabha.

The constituency will find a captivating battle unfolding between AAP's education reformer, a contentious cricketer-turned-politician of the BJP and a returnee of the Congress party. 

Right after a shift in career from cricket to politics, the BJP entrant stoked controversy by engaging in a twitter spat between two leaders of the prominent parties in Jammu and Kashmir- NC's Omar Abdullah and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti over the abrogation of Section 370 and Section 35A from the Constitution. 

Meanwhile, prior to the Abdullah scion, actor-turned-politician Prakash Raj too extended his support for the AAP leader furthermore decided to campaign for her. While Arvinder Singh Lovely jumped the ship from Congress to BJP and then back to Congress last year in February.

Union minister Harsh Vardhan, Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari, AAP leaders Atishi Marlena, Raghav Chadha and Dilip Pandey were among 103 candidates who filed their nominations for the Lok Sabha polls in the national capital on Monday.

BJP's West Delhi candidate Parvesh Verma, AAP candidates from North-West Delhi, New Delhi and Chandni Chowk Gugan Singh, Brijesh Goyal and Pankaj Gupta respectively also filed their nominations.

According to the Delhi's Chief Electoral Office, 103 candidates filed their nominations on Monday. The nomination process in Delhi began on April 16 and as on Monday, 185 candidates had filed their nominations, the Delhi CEO office said.
