After Shatrughan-Poonam Sinha, now Anupam Kher arrives in Chandigarh to campaign for Kirron Kher; here's what the actor tweeted

Less than two weeks before Chandigarh goes to polls in phase 7 of the general elections, Anupam Kher has arrived in the city to campaign for Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Kirron Kher. The veteran expressed his delight about rooting for his wife as he landed before time.

Less than two weeks before Chandigarh goes to polls in phase 7 of the general elections, Anupam Kher has arrived in the city to campaign for Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Kirron Kher. The veteran expressed his delight about rooting for his wife as he landed before time.

Kher on Monday took to Twitter and wrote, “Thank you @airindiain for your punctuality and efficiency. Reached #Chandigarh 20mins before time. Happy to be here now to help in campaigning for @KirronKherBJP. Jai Ho."

Earlier, another actor and Congress candidate from Patna Sahib, Shatrughan Sinha had campaigned for wife Poonam Sinha, who is the Samajwadi Party candidate in Lucknow. 

Meanwhile, Kirron Kher was a part of a rally on Sunday where BJP National President Amit Shah was also present. The Chandigarh candidate thanked Shah for his energetic presence. She also  shared that the leader asserted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, India is on the path to progress and becoming strong. 

Kher has been regularly posting updates of her various initiatives in Chandigarh on Twitter. The constituency goes to polls in the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha polls on May 19.

Kirron Kher is the sitting Member of Parliament from Chandigarh after she beat Pawan Kumar Bansal in 2014. The actor-politician is pitted against the Congress leader once again. Aam Aadmi Party, meanwhile, has replaced 2014 candidate Gul Panag with Harmohan Dhawan. 

Kirron Kher recently got a notice from the Election Commission after children were seen campaigning for her in a video.
