Shiva trilogy author Amish Tripathi shares surprising connection to PM Modi's nomination filing

Best-selling novelist Amish Tripathi, most known for his 'Shiva trilogy', on Friday, shared a connection he shared with PM Narendra Modi tweeting that his aunt, Dr. Annapurna Shukla was one of the nominators at PM Modi's nomination filing at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

Best-selling novelist Amish Tripathi, most known for his 'Shiva trilogy', on Friday, shared a connection he shared with PM Narendra Modi tweeting that his aunt, Dr. Annapurna Shukla was one of the nominators at PM Modi's nomination filing at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

He had earlier shared another connection to the Prime Minister revealing that his elder cousin Chandramouli, had supervised the Ganga Aarti which was performed by PM Modi on Thursday after his mega roadshow, at Dashashwamedha Ghat.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi filed his nomination papers for the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat on Friday, accompanied by a galaxy of top BJP and NDA leaders in what was a massive show of strength for the country's ruling alliance. Before reaching the Varanasi Collectorate office to file his nomination, PM Modi went to the Kaal Bhairav temple to offer prayers.

The Prime Minister also shared a few photos from the nomination filing in which all the NDA allies stood together with PM Modi in solidarity, most of them wearing hues of white and silver-gold. The NDA allies present for the Prime Minister's nomination were Bihar Chief Minister and JD-U chief Nitish Kumar, Union minister and LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan, Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray, Shiromani Akali Dal patron Parkash Singh Badal, party president Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and senior Union ministers Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari and Sushma Swaraj. Apart from them, AIADMK leaders O Pannerselvam, M Thambidurai and Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio were also present.

After filing for his nomination, the PM Modi touched the feet of Badal (91), who is senior to him in age by 23 years, and sought his blessings. This gesture of the Prime Minister has been appreciated by the Shiromani Akali Dal which tweeted a message saluting the noble gesture of PM Modi.

Tripathi, who is the author of the Shiva trilogy- Immortals of Meluha, Secret of the Nagas and Oath of the Vayuputras is currently penning the Ramachandra series which revolves around the epic Ramayana re-imagined in the Harappa-Mohenjadaro era. His next book, Raavan- Orphan of Aryavarta, which is the third book in the Ramachandra series is set to hit bookstores in mid  2019.
