Anupam Kher has always been vocal about various issues concerning the country and never shies away from expressing his opinion on political issues. Kher on Wednesday asked his Twitter followers to send across questions as a part of the #AskAnupam session. The actor was on his way to Chandigarh, where actor-wife and sitting MP Kirron Kher is contesting again on a BJP ticket, via the Shatabdi Express.

The entire county is aghast and shocked about the violence and that was the first question the ‘A Wednesday’ star answered. Kher called it ‘chaotic.’

One user asked him about the silence of the ‘intolerance gang’, referring to those who had stated that there was intolerance in the country, amid the Bengal turmoil, he didn’t mince words and said, ‘They are exposed and so their motives.🙂"

Another user quipped that it’s great he’s going to Chandigarh and not Kolkata, saying the breeze in the train was better than the air in the jail. He also hoped Kirron Kher wins in the election. Kher replied this was just the beginning.

Violent clashes had broken out during BJP president Amit Shah's roadshow in the heart of Kolkata, as sticks were hurled at Shah’s truck and even at the Police who were manning the crowd.

In an attempt to disrupt the roadshow, the attackers began hitting the Police and along with that, waved black flags, held placards and raised anti-BJP slogans outside the University of Calcutta.

Soon after, a scuffle broke out between the miscreants and the BJP workers, following which the Police resorted to lathi-charge.

In a massive decision that comes against the backdrop of violence being witnessed in each of the six phases of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal thus far, the Election Commission decreed on Wednesday that election campaigning for the seventh phase in the state would be suspended 24 hours ahead of the earlier allotted time, and announced key personnel decisions in relation.
