SHOCKING: 'Narendra Modi should do sits ups for lying so much,' says miffed Mamata Banerjee after EC cuts short West Bengal election campaigning

Following the unprecedented decision by the Election Commission to cut short the poll campaigning by 24 hours in West Bengal, WB Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee while addressing a poll rally in Mathurapur in West Bengal on Thursday alleged the EC of favouring the BJP and made shocking remarks on the Prime Minister.

Fuming at the poll-rally, she alleged that Vidyasagar's statue was vandalised by BJP goons under the leadership of Amit Shah and PM Modi should do sit-ups for lying so much.

She said: "He is our one who gave education to Bengalis, once the statue is broken it cannot be made. Amit Shah led the goons to broke the statue of Vidyasagar statue.Bengal has the money to make another statue we don't need you, but can you return the 200 year old heritage to us. We have proof, video proof. We have the evidence, we have documents against the BJP. You have insulted the heritage, you cannot just say that you will built them. You are liar, PM Narendra Modi liar, you must do sit ups fo lying so much. You have insulted Bengal's sentiment. We will take proper revenge."

She then lashed out on the Election Commission saying and on BJP chief Amit Shah saying:

Mamata Banerjee said, "EC is BJP's another brother. I am sad but its true. This is a very true story. I am not afraid if I am sent to jail for this. Ambedkar statue was broken by these goons too. They are shameless. They say that TMC broke it. How shameless is the PM. No need to build it, we have money, we will drag them to jail. Amit Shah's goons are saying that Bangla are Beggers (bangal is kangal). They are terrorist. No one is bigger terrorist then them."
 

Earlier on Wednesday evening while addressing a press conference after EC's order, she appealed the voters not to vote for the BJP.

"Don't give any vote to him (PM Modi). My sisters, brothers, young people, I request Modi ko Hatao (Remove Modi), Modi ko desh se nikal do election k through (Drag him out of the country through your votes). Don't vote for him. They(BJP) have slandered Bengal by breaking the statue of Vidyasagar and the Election Commission has given Narendra Modi and Amit Shah a prize after vandalising. Don't give one vote to the BJP."

On Wednesday evening, in an unprecedented move, EC invoked Article 324 and cuts short campaigning of all forms in West Bengal from 10 pm on Thursday, May 16, till the end of the polls on May 19. In the normal course, the campaigning was to end at 5 pm on May 17. It also announced that ADG (CID) West Bengal Rajeev Kumar stands relieved of his post and is reassigned to the Home Ministry in New Delhi where he will have to report by 10 am on Thursday. Furthermore, the poll body also said: "Atri Bhattacharya, Principal Secretary (Home) of the West Bengal government stands removed and his duties will be discharged with the state's Chief Secretary for the time being."
