Chhattisgarh Exit Polls Latest Updates: As per the exit-poll survey conducted by Matrize, Congress is likely to lead in Chhattisgarh, while BJP is expected to give a neck-to-neck competition to the ruling party.

As per the Matrize prediction, out of the 90 seats, Congress is likely to bag 44 to 52 seats, while BJP is expected to win anywhere between 34 and 42 seats.

The magic number in the 90-member Chhattisgarh Assembly is 46.

Chhattisgarh was one among the five poll-bound states where the voting for the Assembly election was held in two phases. The polling for 90-member Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly concluded on November 7 and 17, respectively. In the first phase, voting was held for 20 seats in 12 districts under Bastar division. The first phase recorded a voter turnout of 78 per cent.

The remaining 70 constituencies underwent polling in the second phase that saw a footfall of 68.15 per cent voters.

The important candidates in the fray are Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, and Deputy Chief Minister TS Singh Deo, along with several other leaders from Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party.

The contest in Chhattisgarh was between Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel-led Congress party, which is looking to retain its power in the state, and the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The results of Chhattisgarh Assembly election 2023 will be announced on December 3 along with the other four states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Mizoram and Telangana.
