Chhattisgarh Exit Polls Latest Updates: According to P-Marq exit poll prediction, Congress seems to have a clear edge over BJP in the 90-member Assembly. As per the survey, BJP is likely to get anywhere between 35 to 42 seats, while Congress is expected to get 46 to 54 seats. The number required to form the government in the state is 46. As compared to the last Assembly elections, Congress has gained ground in the Central region, which boasts of nearly two-third seats. This is being seen as the major reason as to why the Congress is likely to come back to power. The BJP, meanwhile, has gained in vote share in the North and the Bastar regions as compared to the last election.

Chhattisgarh was one among the five poll-bound stages where the voting for the Assembly election was held in two phases. The polling for 90-member Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly concluded on November 7 and 17, respectively. In the first phase, voting was held for 20 seats in 12 districts under Bastar division. The first phase recorded a voter turnout of 78 per cent.
