Delhi Elections 2025 LIVE: Delhi is all set to witness the intense triangular contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress to elect its Chief Minister for the next five years. Voting will take place across 13,766 polling stations in all 70 Assembly constituencies at 7 am to decide the fates of 699 candidates in a contest that could reshape the political landscape of the capital. The voting will conclude at 6 pm. The Delhi Police have intensified security including drone surveillance across the national capital. Special provisions have been made for senior citizens and persons with disabilities, with 733 polling stations designated for their accessibility.

In this triangular contest, the AAP, led by former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal seeks a third term. Meanwhile, the BJP is making a determined push to reclaim power in Delhi after over 25 years.

While voting is underway across Delhi, AAP candidate from Greater Kailash Assembly seat, Saurabh Bharadwaj alleged Delhi Police is trying to stop people from casting their votes at a polling station in Chirag Delhi.

"You have been standing here since morning to influence elections. Why are the barricades put here? Which Senior Officer of the Delhi Police has asked them to put up barricades? This is all being done to disturb the poor villagers. Malviya Nagar ACP and SHO are doing all of this openly wherever there is a stronghold of AAP. The SHO also conducted a raid on our private premises last night. 21,000 people cast their votes here. The Police are doing this in all 17-18 polling booths in Chirag Delhi. People can neither come from the metro nor on the roads to cast their votes...Did Virendraa Sachdeva or President Murmu get out of the car 200 metres away from the polling station? There are no guidelines...," ANI reported him as saying.

Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva after casting his vote took a sharp swipe at AAP saying, "There is a wave of change in Delhi. People are voting against the corrupt govt. The information that we have is that people were caught casting fake votes in the Kasturba Nagar constituency... Former Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud along with his wife, Kalpana Das on Wednesday cast his vote in the Delhi Assembly polls at a polling booth in Lions Vidya Mandir Secondary School near the Teen Murti area. Speaking to ANI, the former CJI asserted that every election is crucial in a democracy. "When it comes to a particular election, everybody who is associated with it regards it as crucial. Whether it's Delhi, whether it's the national elections or the state elections, every single election is crucial. By exercising our franchise, we demonstrate to the world at large and to our own society that we are responsible participants in the process of democracy as citizens," he said.

A turnout of 8.10 per cent has been recorded in the Delhi Assembly polls till 9 am on Wednesday with President Droupadi Murmu , EAM Jaishankar and others among early voters, PTI reported.
