Alwar, A BJP Stronghold Since 2014

Alwar has been a stronghold for the BJP since 2014, winning the constituency for two consecutive times.

The Yadav community strongly influences Alwar's Lok Sabha seat, which includes eight Vidhan Sabha constituencies. The current competition is between Bhupender Yadav of the BJP against Lalit Yadav of the Congress. 

In the 2019 elections, BJP's Baba Balaknath won with 760,201 votes, defeating Congress's Bhanwar Jitendra Singh, who got 430,230 votes. BSP's Imran Khan received 56,649 votes, with a voter turnout of 66.82%. In 2014, BJP's Chand Nath defeated Bhanwar Jitendra Singh by 283,895 votes.

The counting of the votes begins at 8 on the Alwar bellweather seat. 

Congress candidate Lalit Yadav is leading from Alwar seat. 

The data on ECI shows BJP candidate BHUPENDER YADAV is leading with 24,112 votes where Congress candidate LALIT YADAV trailing. 

Final Update:

BHUPENDER YADAV of Bhartiya Janta Party won after getting 6,31,992  votes against Lalit Yadav of Indian National Congress who got 5,83,710 votes.
