BJP candidate from Silchar Lok Sabha seat Parimal Suklabaidya is surging ahead as per latest trends. 

Congress MP and candidate from Jorhat Lok Sabha seat, Gaurav Gogoi says, "In the beginning, all I would like to say is that Rahul Gandhi had said that the Exit Polls declared a few days back are Modi polls - this has turned out to be true. The ground reality is turning out to be different out to be different from Exit Polls..." 

As per the official ECI trends, he is leading by a margin of 44,837 votes.

INC candidate from Nagaon Lok Sabha seat Pradyut Bardoloi is leading with over 40,000 vote margin. 

The ruling BJP and its allies, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and United Peoples' Party Liberal (UPPL), is leading in 10 and opposition Congress in four of the 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in Assam on Tuesday, according to election officials.

BJP is ahead in eight constituencies with Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in Dibrugarh, Rajya Sabha MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa in Kaziranga, MLA Ranjit Dutta in Tezpur, sitting MP Pradan Baruah in Lakhimpur, Bijuli Kalita Medhi in Guwahati, Dilip Saikia in Darrang-Udalguri, Amar Sing Tisso in Diphu (ST) and Parimal Suklabaidya in Silchar (SC) taking leads over their nearest rivals.

The BJP was leading in six Lok Sabha seats and the opposition Congress was ahead in four in Assam, stated initial trends.

For BJP, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in Dibrugarh, Rajya Sabha MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa in Kaziranga, MLA Ranjit Dutta in Tezpur, sitting MP Pradan Baruah in Lakhimpur, Bijuli Kalita Medhi in Guwahati and Amarsing Tisso in Diphu were leading in the initial round.

Congress' Gaurav Gogoi in Jorhat, sitting Nagaon MP Prodyut Bordoloi, MLA Rakibul Hussain in Dhubri and Hafiz Rashid Ahmed Choudhury in Karimganj were leading.

BJP candidate from Dibrugarh Lok Sabha seat in Assam Sarbananda Sonowal is leading with over 2,000 votes. 

As per the early trends after the counting of votes began at 8 AM, Congress candidate Gaurav Gogoi is leading from the Jorhat Lok Sabha seat. 

The counting of votes for the Assam Lok Sabha election on 14 seats commenced at 8 am. The security arrangements are tightened to ensure a seamless election process. 

In the 2019 Lok Sabha election held in Assam for 14 seats, BJP-led NDA swept through the state with 9 seats in its account, while the Congress and AIUDF managed three and one seats, respectively. 

The state of Assam voted in three phases- April 19, April 26, May 7 for election on 14 seats. The counting of votes will begin at 8 am on June 4. 

The counting of votes for Assam Lok Sabha election on 14 seats will commence at 8 am. The security arrangements are tightened to ensure seamless election process.
