Jamnagar Lok Sabha Election Result 2024 LIVE: Vote counting for the Jamnagar Lok Sabha seat began at 8 AM. All 26 seats of Gujarat were being closely monitored. The voting for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls in Valsad took place on May 71. BJP's Poonamben Maadam took a winning lead of over 2L Votes in Jamnagar while Congress's JP Marvia was trailing.

Jamnagar, A BJP Stronghold Since 2014

Jamnagar has been a stronghold for the BJP since 2014, winning the constituency for two consecutive times.

In 2014, BJP’s Poonamben Hematbhai Maadam contested from Jamnagar, securing a significant victory with 4,84,412 votes, defeating Congress’ Ahir Vikrambhai Arjanbhai Madam.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, BJP’s  Poonamben Hematbhai Maadam won again by securing 591,588 votes, defeating Murubhai Kandoriya Ahir of the Congress.

On Tuesday, soon after voting began for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Chief Election Commission Rajiv Kumar said, “The counting process is underway at all the places. We have given strict instructions to all the DMs, SPs and COs (central observers) that the process of counting is done transparently and as per rulebook.”
