Jamui Lok Sabha Chunav Result LIVE: The counting of votes for the Jamui Lok Sabha constituency is set to begin at 8 am. Jamui is witnessing a direct battle between Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate Archana Kumari and Lok Jan Shakti Party (Ram Vilas)'s Arun Bharti. Bharti is sitting Lok Sabha MP Chirag Paswan's brother-in-law and has got the backing of the National Democratic Alliance. Jamui Lok Sabha (Chunav) is an important battle for Chirag Paswan too as Prime Minister Narendra Modi also campaigned here and sought votes for the NDA. For the RJD-led INDI candidate, the campaign was largely centred around Tejashwi Yadav's rallies which saw huge turnout. Jamui is largely dominated by the Rajput and Yadav voters. Tarapur, Jhajha, Sheikhpura, Sikandara, Chakai and Jamui assembly constituencies fall under the Jamui Lok Sabha seat.
Rajput voters in the constituency have largely gone for the NDA candidate and Yadavs with RJD, if the exit poll results are anything to go by. Sakaldev Das is the Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate from the Jamui Lok Sabha seat.
