Karnataka Lok Sabha Election 2024 Result: In the seven-phase 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Karnataka voted in the second on April 26 and the third phase on May 7 to elect 28 Members of Parliament (MPs) from the state. In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 25 seats, while other 3 seats were won by the Congress, the then Congress’s ally partner Janata Dal Secular (JDS) and an independent candidate each. The primary political parties, who were contesting the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka were the BJP, the Janata Dal Secular (JDS), the Congress, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM). Notably, the BJP and the JDS were contesting the elections in the state as partners of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), while the Congress was contesting solo.
According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), the BJP-led NDA won 19 seats, with BJP winning 17 seats, while the Congress won 9 seats in Karnataka.
