Tamil Nadu Exit Poll Results 2024 LIVE: The DMK's fortress is slated to remain in tact as both Matrize and and P-Marq have predicted a near-clean sweep in Tamil Nadu even as the NDA's vote-share is expected to increase significantly. The NDA has not been able to convert the vote-share into seats with Matrize predicting anywhere between zero to three seats for NDA and P-Marq predicting that BJP-led NDA will be unable to open its account this time around.

As the whole nation gears up for exit polls, the bigger question is if BJP's vote and seat share in the state will enter in double-digits and be able to breach the Dravidian fort, riding on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's South push. All 39 seats in Tamil Nadu went to the polls during first phase of voting on April 19. There is a four-way battle in the state and key players are the DMK-led INDI alliance, the BJP-led NDA, the AIADMK-led alliance and the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NMK).

Tamil Nadu plays a big role if BJP has to cross PM Narendra Modi's target of “400 paar” for the NDA. If BJP are to add 70 more seats to their last time's tally of 303, the lion's share has to come from Tamil Nadu. Leading NDA for the first time in Tamil Nadu, BJP has fielded star campaigners like former governor Tamilsai Soundarajan and the dynamic state chief Annamalai and has thrown their weight behind former CM O Pannerselvam from Ramnathapuram. At the beginning of the year, many thought that it will be a walk in the park for Stalin's DMK. However, with the BJP stitching a potent alliance with S Ramadoss' Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) and TTV Dhinakaran's AMMK, the NDA alliance might spring up a surprise or two.

Tamil Nadu Exit Poll Prediction: Matrize

Matrize has predicted a vote-share of 50 per cent for INDI alliance, which translates to 35 to 38 seats. NDA is projected to be at a distant second with a 31.9 per cent vote share, translating to anywhere between zero to three seats. The NDA is projected to see a 22 per cent jump in vote share contrary to DMK whose vote-share has been predicted to shrink by 5 per cent as compared to 2019.
