Chhattisgarh Exit Poll LIVE: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which swept through Chhattisgarh in the last two Lok Sabha elections is again likely to achieve the same feat in the 2024 polls by winning 9 seats out of a total of 11 in the state, according to Republic-PMARQ exit polls result. 

The elections on 11 Lok Sabha seats of Chhattisgarh were held in three phases- April 19, April 26 and May 7. The Election Commission data revealed that Chhattisgarh recorded an overall voter turnout of 72.8 per cent in elections to the 11 Lok Sabha seats, registering an increase of 1.31 per cent from the 2019 figure.

  1. According to Republic-PMARQ prediction, the NDA is likely to get 9 seats in Chhattisgarh, while the Congress-led opposition will settle with just 2 seats. 
  2. The BJP-led NDA is expected to garner a 51 per cent vote share, while the Congress allies will record 40 per cent, according to the Republic-PMARQ prediction. 
  3. As far as the national outcome is concerned, NDA will likely get a third term at the Centre with 359 seats, of which BJP will bag 316 seats alone. Meanwhile, the INDI alliance prospect will fall flat as the Republic-PMARQ exit poll results predict that it will get 154 seats, of which Congress will get 66. 

What Happened in 2019 Election? 

In the 2019 Lok Sabha election, results were the same as predicted in the 2024 polls. The BJP swept through the state with 9 seats in its account, while the Congress settled with two. The BJP registered victory with a record vote share of nearly 51 per cent. The Congress-led opposition registered nearly 41 per cent votes in their favour.
