Maharashtra Exit Poll 2024: Republic-PMARQ Predicts 29 Seats For NDA; Matrize Gives 30-36

Republic PMARQ Exit Poll has given the NDA-29 seats, INDI Alliance-19 seats. MATRIZE Exit Poll has given the NDA 30-36 seats and INDI Alliance 13-19 seats.

Maharashtra Lok Sabha Exit Polls 2024: In Maharashtra, Republic PMARQ Exit Poll and MATRIZE Exit Poll Predictions have both given a clear majority to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. Even after 10 years of rule at the Centre, the ruling NDA appears to have pulled maximum number of seats for the alliance to comfortably regain power for the third-consecutive term under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Of 48 seats in Maharashtra, Republic PMARQ Exit Poll has predicted 29 seats for the NDA, while it has given 19 seats to the INDI Alliance.

MATRIZE Exit Poll, on the other hand, has given 30-36 seats to the NDA, 13-19 seats to the INDI Alliance, while it has given no seats to others, out of 48 seats. 

Polling for the 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra concluded in the first 5 phases of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections which concluded in 7 phases on June 1. The polling in Maharashtra began on April 19 and concluded on May 20, 2024. The final phase of polling in Maharashtra, which concluded on May 20, saw a total voter turnout of 56.89%, the lowest among the five phases of voting in the state.

Voting in Maharashtra took place during the first five phases including April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13 and May 20. The results for the Lok Sabha elections are set to be announced on June 4.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA), formed by combining key parties like BJP, the Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde, and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led by Ajit Pawar, which is also called as Mahayuti Alliance, took on the INDI Alliance also known as Mahavikas Aghadi, formed by the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) led by Uddhav Thackeray, and the NCP Sharadchandra Pawar led by Sharad Pawar.

Republic PMARQ Exit Poll 2024 national prediction has given a complete majority with a total of 359 seats to the BJP-led NDA, 154 seats to the INDI Alliance, while it has given 30 seats to others.

Matrize Exit Poll 2024 national prediction has given the NDA somewhere between 353-368 seats in the Lok Sabha Elections, around 118-133 seats to the INDI Alliance, while 43-48 seats has been predicted for others.

Considering the vote shares predictions, Republic PMARQ Exit Poll has predicted that the BJP-led alliance will get 45 percent vote shares in Maharashtra, the Opposition's INDI Alliance will get 41 percent vote shares, while others are likely to get 14 percent of vote shares. 

BJP to Lead With 22-26 Seats

Party-wise predictions have shown that the ruling BJP on its own is likely to get 22-26 seats, while its allies are likely to get 2-8 seats. Among INDI Alliance, the Congress party is predicted to get 2-5 seats, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) likely to get 7-11 seats, and NCP (Sharad Pawar) is likely to get anywhere between 5-9 seats. Republic PMARQ has given 1 seat to the other parties in the INDI Alliance.

Republic PMARQ Exit Poll predictions for Maharashtra have given around 26-32 seats to the NDA, and the midpoint stands at 29 seats for the alliance. For the INDI Alliance, it predicted 15-23 seats and the midpoint stands at 19 seats for the Opposition alliance.

MATRIZE Exit Poll has given the NDA: 30-36 seats, the INDI Alliance: 13-19, while no seat has been given to others, out of 48 seats.

The 2019 Lok Sabha exit polls for Maharashtra had predicted a strong performance by the BJP-led NDA alliance, which was estimated to win around 36-38 seats in the exit polls. However, the alliance performed well beyond the expectations with actual tally at 41 seats. On the other hand, the Congress-NCP alliance was predicted to win 11 seats, however, they won around half of the predicted seats in the state.

The 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra to elect candidates on 48 seats was held in the 4 phases, which was scheduled on April 11, April 18, April 23, and April 29, 2019. The major contenders in the state were the United Progressive Alliance (UPA), consisting of the Congress and the NCP, and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) consisting of the BJP and the Shiv Sena.

The NDA jointly contested on 48 seats and managed to win 41 seats, while the UPA, which also jointly contested 48 seats and had managed to win only 5 seats.
