SP, Congress Will Gift People's Property to Those Who Do 'Vote Jihad': PM Modi in Hamirpur

“Mumbai is going to play a huge role in our dream of Viksit Bharat by 2047,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday at a rally at Mumbai's Shivaji Park in Dadar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Mumbai rally described the Congress manifesto for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 as “Maoist”. The PM warned that it will put a break on the country's economic growth and lead it to bankruptcy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day visit to Odisha from May 19, state BJP chief Manmohan Samal said on Friday. Upon his arrival on Sunday evening, PM Modi will convene a meeting with state BJP leaders in Bhubaneswar and spend the night in the city, Samal added. The following day, he is slated to visit the revered Jagannath Temple and participate in a roadshow. Additionally, the Prime Minister will address election rallies in Angul and Cuttack, he said. This visit will mark Modi's third trip to Odisha during the ongoing Lok Sabha and state assembly polls.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attacked INDIA bloc members Congress and Samajwadi Party. While speaking in UP on election campaigns in Barabanki, Balrampur and Ayodhya, CM Yogi said that the two parties have a history of being against Lord Ram. The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is an election between "Ram Bhakts" and "Ram-drohis", he said.

Fifty-two candidates are in the fray for the three Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand that will go to polls on June 1, an official said on Friday after the deadline for withdrawal of nominations ended. The nomination process for Rajmahal (ST), Dumka (ST), and Godda constituencies began on May 7, with only three candidates withdrawing from the contest.

“Request you to vote for BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP candidates, not for the duplicates. Duplicate Shiv Sena is opposing CAA. All this is for appeasement,” said PM Modi at Shivaji Park, Dadar, Mumbai. “We will shatter all records on 4th June,” he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that the Samajwadi Party and the Indian National Congress will use the citizens' votes to come to power and then gift a part of their property to those who carry out ‘Vote Jihad’. The PM was speaking at a rally in Hamirpur in Uttar Pradesh.

"I have to go back to jail on June 2. I will be watching the election results on June 4 from jail," said Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal in a rally at Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai today.

Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar says, "In Uttar Pradesh, Congress and our alliance are in good condition, we will win 40 seats there. I have met party chief Mallikarjun kharge and mentioned about our guarantees and he also announced an additional 10 kilograms of free ration every month to the poor, so the results will be in our favour"

I have given the same teachings to Rahul and Priyanka, that Indira Ji and the people of Raebareli had given to me; Respect all, protect the weak, fight against justice, done be sacred... Your love never made me feel alone. Everything I have is yours... I am handing over my son to you. You have to accept him, just like you accepted me. Rahul will not disappoint you..."

"This time there are some chief ministers and Union ministers, who come as political tourists only at the time of elections and then they disappear. Their speeches have no effect on the people of Odisha. And it's most unfortunate that many of them use derogatory and abusive language. I never believe in doing that and the people don't, here in our state, appreciate such language," Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal president Naveen Patnaik said to PTI.

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal will be campaigning for the INDI Bloc in Mumbai's Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) at 5 pm today. Kejriwal reached Mumbai for the scheduled campaigning amidst the Swati Maliwal Assaultgate.

On Friday, May 17, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi addressed a rally in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi. 
 

Speaking while addressing a rally in Raebareli, Shah said, "This (Lok Sabha) seat is not of a family. It belongs to the people of Raebareli and Amethi. Only that person will go to the Parliament, which the people want to send... BJP will win both of the seats... Congress party protected Article 370 for 70 years... They say that they will introduce it. PM Modi has ended terrorism and terrorists. Mani Shankar Aiyar and Farooq Abdullah say that don't talk about PoK, Pakistan has an atom bomb. Rahul Gandhi, you can be scared but PoK belongs to India and we will take it back."

During his address in Fatehpur, PM said, "SP's love for mafias hasn't ended yet, their party chief is reading 'fatiah' on the grave of the mafia... Pakistan used to attack our country, Congress used to give them a clean chit and they have weaved a false narrative of 'Saffron Terrorism'..."

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur.

BRS leaders met the party MLC K Kavitha in Delhi's Tihar Jail today. He said, "She is very strong. She has been sharing with us that there is a lot of pressure from the investigating agencies to reveal and add the names of other politicians who are not toeing the line of the BJP which is illegal, immoral & unconstitutional. She appealed to the court to release her on bail on the grounds that she is innocent and is also a mother and the ruling establishment has vendetta against her."

"There is also also wrong application of the law. How did CBI invoke Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act against her? Hemant Soren, Manish Sisodia and Arvind Kejriwal have been punished in the same way. If Arvind Kejriwal has got bail, then why not K Kavitha? This is brazen injustice," he added

While addressing a public rally, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said, "The voice of people is strengthening against the divisive, appeasement and anarch policies of Congress and INDI alliance. It is the proclamation of PM Modi's vision of 'Aatmanirbhar' and 'Viksit Bharat'... We have to contribute to making PM Modi's vision of 'Aatmanirbhar' and 'Viksit Bharat' come true."

In his address to a public meeting in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki, PM Narendra Modi said, "One Congress leader said that the people of Raebareli will elect the PM, 'ye sunte hi Samajwadi shehzade ka dil hi toot gya bas aansoon nahi nikle, lekin dil ke saare armaan beh gaye'..."

In his address to a public meeting in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki, PM Narendra Modi said, "...If SP and Congress come to power, Ram Lalla will be in a tent again and they will run a bulldozer on Ram temple. They should take tuition from Yogi ji, where to run a bulldozer and where you shouldn't."

In a press conference, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva announced that the party has released a 'Aarop Patra' against Congress and AAP.

"This ‘Aarop Patra’ includes all the records of AAP on how it looted the public of Delhi and how Congress joined hands with AAP. Our party has worked on this detailed ‘Aarop Patra’, which includes liquor scam, education scam, panic button scam, and transport scam which has been done by Delhi government."

The BJP released the 19th list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections from Punjab; fields Subhash Sharma from Anandpur Sahib, Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodi from Firozpur & Arvind Khanna from Sangrur.

The CBI on Friday conducted raids at the residences of two Trinamool Congress leaders at Kathi in Purba Medinipur district of West Bengal in connection with its ongoing investigation into the killing of a BJP worker in post-poll violence in 2021.

An official said that a team of CBI officers raided the houses of Kathi Block no 3 TMC leader Debabrata Panda and another block president Nandadulal Maiti in the early hours of Friday in connection with its ongoing investigation, he said.

"Panda, Nandadulal's son and 52 others have been named in the FIR lodged in connection with the murder of Janmejay Dolui," the CBI officer told news agency PTI.

When asked to comment on the INDI alliance, Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said, "INDI Alliance will prove to be a flop. Be it the press conference of Kejriwal or Kharge or Rahul Gandhi - none of those are making any impact. This is a group of people who are stuck in the swamp of corruption. People have rejected them in their states."

"Congress is anyway a zero in Uttar Pradesh, Kejriwal is not important and SP is the leadership of a group of goons. The Public has rejected them. BJP will cross 400 and win all 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh," he added. 
 

BJP candidate from South Chennai Lok Sabha seat, Tamilisai Soundararajan told ANI, "Here, in Tamil Nadu, drug mafia has been a member of DMK, an office bearer of DMK. Tamil Nadu Court has condemned, saying that there has been a nexus between police and the drug mafias... There is a nexus between DMK, police and drug mafia that should be controlled...Drug culture and violent culture is equal to DMK culture."
 

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said, "We (INDIA alliance) had prepared for Shivaji Park to conduct the rally but BJP and its alliance are in power and they get the Shivaji Park in the name of the PM to stop us as they are scared... Be it the PM or anyone in Mumbai, it doesn't impact us... He (the PM ) has a speciality, whoever he questions, he always goes with that person. BJP had cut its ties with Raj Thackeray citing his party attacks on North Indians but today PM Modi will share the stage with him. The leader who once said that I wouldn't let PM Modi and Amit Shah come to Maharashtra will be there on stage with the PM..."

When asked to respond on foreign media's narrative on BJP's throttling majority of “440 paar,” Shah said, "Should the voters of the country vote as per the intent of the foreign media?...There is no interference. Anyone can say anything they want but the voters of India are mature enough. Let the counting happen, they (foreign media) will go on a holiday after that..."

In a conversation with ANI, Amit Shah said, "I don't see any such possibilities. An army of 60 crore-strong beneficiaries are standing with PM Modi, they have no caste or age group...Those who have received all these benefits know Narendra Modi kya hain aur kyun 400 dena chahiye."

Speaking on recent social media speculations on reservations, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "We have made it very clear...that as long as there is even one MP of the BJP, nobody can touch reservations for SC, ST and OBC in this country. There is no bigger supporter of SC, ST and OBC reservations than Narendra Modi."

Delhi Chief Minister Aam and Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to participate in a series of organisational meetings and will lead a roadshow in Amritsar, Punjab on Thursday.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav will hold join rallies in constituency Rae Bareli and Amethi on Friday.

This comes as Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge held two rallies in Maharajganj and Bansgaon on 14 May.
