On exit poll, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant says, "All the exit polls are showing 325-400 seats (for BJP). 'Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar' has been proved... BJP will win both the Lok Sabha seats in Goa. Tomorrow, we will win more than 400 seats..."

The Election Commission on Monday refused to grant extra time to Congress leader Jairam Ramesh to support his claims that attempts were made to influence 150 district magistrates and collectors ahead of the June 4 vote count for Lok Sabha elections.

Ramesh was asked by the poll panel to submit facts by Sunday evening of the allegations that he made in a social media post recently.
 

On Congress leader Jairam Ramesh's allegations that Union HM called DMs/ROs (Returning Officers), BJP leader Shazia Ilmi says, "The Election Commission has answered the questions, and also asked for answers. Who are those 150 DMs whom the Union Home Minister allegedly called and influenced to affect the elections? This is a serious allegation made by Jairam Ramesh. If he is making such big allegations,  then he has to tell the details and how he got those details. It is clear that Jairam Ramesh is going to lose the elections, so he is creating such an environment..."

“Leave aside exit polls, the exact poll is coming tomorrow. Rahul Gandhi should wait and watch. The people have blessed us with their votes for our politics of development. Everything will be clear tomorrow (referring to counting of votes). In Bihar, I am confident that we will win all 40 Lok Sabha seats,” said Bihar Deputy CM and BJP leader Samrat Choudhary on Rahul Gandhi’s remark over exit polls.

Ahead of counting tomorrow, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale says, “We are confident of getting 400 seats...People have voted for development, in the name of PM Modi...INDIA Alliance is dreaming that they will get 295 seats. If they get 295 seats, I would like to ask who will be their PM. If it is someone among them who becomes the PM, I would be the first person to welcome them with a garland. If that doesn't happen, Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi should come to present a garland to Narendra Modi - I invite them.”

Patna: Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary says, "We are confident that we will win 400 seats in the country and all 40 seats in Bihar...If they (Opposition) have got 295 seats, they should directly go to Rashtrapati Bhavan. Exit polls have come, the accurate poll will come tomorrow..."

BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad says, "When exit polls predicted victory in Telangana, they(Congress) were very happy…Today, when exit polls are predicting a victory for PM Modi, they are worried….The same happens with EVM….If they win in Karnataka, West Bengal, Kerala, Telangana and Himachal Pradesh, EVMs are correct….Where BJP wins, EVMs are bad….Their defeat is certain…BJP will win with a historic margin…."

The Congress and its INDIA bloc allies are trying to undermine the integrity of India's electoral process, the BJP alleged on Sunday and urged the Election Commission to prevent any attempts of "violence and unrest" during the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha polls on June 4.

To manage post-election violence, nearly 400 Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) companies (over 40,000 personnel) will remain in West Bengal until June 19. A significant portion of the CAPFs will consist of the Central Reserve Police Force, said official sources. 

A news conference by the Election Commission is scheduled for June 3, 2024, one day before the tallying of votes cast in the Lok Sabha elections. This will probably be the first time in India's electoral history that the poll commission has called a news conference following an election.
