New Delhi: Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief, Jayant Chaudhary, is likely to hand over the letter of support to the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) by Wednesday, June 5, evening said sources.

Exuding confidence on formation of a NDA government at the Centre, Jayant Chaudhary said, “NDA is going to form the government for the third time. We are part of NDA. I congratulate all the newly elected MPs. I am happy that we have to work together for the country.”

Jayant will also be attending the meet of NDA leaders scheduled for later this day at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg.

Jayant Chaudhary , former a constituent of the Opposition's INDI bloc, switched to BJP-led NDA earlier this year. Just ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Jayant Chaudhary jumped ships. Then, Jayant Chaudhary had said that there was no planning behind his decision, and it was taken after consulting all MLAs and workers from his party.

“...I took this decision after speaking to all the MLAs and workers of my party. There was no big planning behind this decision, or we had decided this a long time back. We had to take this decision within a short time because of the situation. We want to do something good for the country, our people,” said the RLD chief upon joining NDA.
