While stories of violence painted this poll phase red in West Bengal, a heartwarming story has emerged from the national capital on Sunday, where all seven Lok Sabha seats are up for grabs with the BJP, Congress and AAP battling it out.
In a most unique facility provided by the Election Commission, a creche was arranged by the poll officials at a polling booth in Dakshinpuri extension which falls in the South Delhi constituency to care for the children of the poll officials and voters visiting the election booth.
The Election Commission proudly shared the photo of the creche in the polling booth highlighting the generosity of a volunteer who brought refreshments for all the kids in the creche.
Polling has recently concluded in New Delhi where the phase six turnout is 55.51% while the overall phase turnout is 60.12%
59 constituencies across six states and one union territory voted on Sunday seal the fate of 979 candidates. Results are scheduled on May 23.
