While 2017 saw some brilliant movies in Bollywood, some failed miserably despite a major star cast. Here's having a look at five of them:

1. Judwaa 2

The movie directed by David Dhawan is a sequel to the 1997 popular hit ‘Judwaa’ in which Salman Khan in double role had the audience in splits. However, the sequel with Varun Dhawan did not create quite an impression on the audience. Varun Dhawan who reflects a combined feature of Govinda  and Salman Khan ( a regular features in David Dhawan Films) in his mannerism. Most part of ‘Judwaa 2’ was similar to its previous version. Except for the actors and budget of the film, there was not much difference in the plot. The film takes you from Mumbai to London, with a whole lot of logic going down the drain. Jacqueline played the role of Karishma Kapoor and Taapsee played the role of Rambha. However, you could watch this film if you have nothing else and are looking for mindless comedy.

2. Meri Pyaari Bindu

Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra are neighbors-one are the quiet kind easy to fall in love, while the other is the bubbly outgoing person. No prize for guessing who’s who. Ayushmann is quick to fall in love with Parineeti, who aspires to become a singer but wants it quick in life. They fall in love, but with Parineeti’s aspirations lying in their way, they fall apart.

Ayushmann turns a writer who starts penning down about Bindu, recollecting his fond memories with her in a desperate attempt to fall out of love with her. He later realizes that she's married and has a kid, towards the end of the movie. Only good thing f the movie is that they did not get back together, even after Ayushmann suggesting her to elope. However, charismatic their relationship was on screen, it did strike a chord with the audience.

3. Jab Harry Met Sejal

Well, lets just say the 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi', did not quite impress the audience. Anushka Sharma with a poor Gujarati accent falls in love with a tour guide(Shah Rukh Khan). Why is she with her tour guide ? Because her fiance asks her to stay back in Europe to find their engagement ring which she had lost. Yes, her entire family abandons her in a separate continent to hunt for a ring.

Well, we all know how the ring hunt ends. The director Imtiaz who till date had a good track record of films including ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Highway’ and ‘Rockstar’ failed to impress the audience and critics with this one. However, the music composed by Pritam were a hit.

4. Noor

Sonakshi Sinha, impressed to create an impact as a journalist who was sets out to bust an illegal organ stealing  racket. She however, in the way faces major disappointments, when people loses faith in her and she is betrayed. She finds comfort in her friend from London (Kanan Gill). She gets back from her mini vacation with a fresh mind to take up challenges and proves her worth, which she does. Seems, like the audience and critic did not find the movie watch worthy.

5. Mubarakan

After 'Aurangzeb', Arjun Kapoor once again plays a double role as twins.  No, this is not similar to 'Judwaa 2'. But, yes they get separated in their childhood as their parents die in a car crash  in which the twins  survive. Their relatives take them, however, one is sent to Punjab and the other one to London. Confusion begins once their marriage comes into the picture and both the  Arjun Kapoor's  are in the pursuit to convince their family to get them married to the girls of their choice. The film also stars Anil Kapoor. But seems like the funny, enthusiastic Punjabi family could not convince the audience with their not so simple love story.

Let us know which movie you did not like.
