Salman Khan is an extremely famous Bollywood actor known for his roles in multiple films. Khan was the highest-ranked ( 82nd) Indian with earnings of close to $37.7 million according to Forbes 2018. He is also known for hosting the reality show, Big Boss. Take a look at the list of movies that were highlights of Salman's career in the '90s of Bollywood.

Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, 1994.

The film was written and directed by the very established Sooraj Barjatya. The movie starred one of the power couples of the time, Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan. The film revolves around the two brothers, Prem and Rajesh Nath. After the demise of Pooja, wife of the elder brother Rajesh, Nisha offers to marry Rajesh to nurture their baby so that he doesn’t feel the absence of his mother. Prem feels betrayed to see the love of his life marrying another man, but decides to sacrifice his love, for the family's well-being. Miraculously, with the grace of Tuffy the Pomeranian dog, Prem’s ulterior feelings about Nisha are revealed after which Rajesh chooses to step down and let Prem climb the horse. Hum Aapke Hai Kaun was the highest-grossing Indian film that year, as per box-office records.

Andaaz Apna Apna, 1994

The movie was a comedy-drama starring Salman Khan and Aamir Khan as the male leads with Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon alongside. Mehmood, Juhi Chawla and Govinda had cameo roles in the film. Andaaz Apna Apna revolved around the desperate attempts of the two ordinary boys Amar and Prem to win over Ravina Bajaj’s heart since she is the daughter of a wealthy businessman. The two face a hard time fighting with Teja and Crime Master Gogo who play the role of antagonists in the film. The movie didn’t do so well at the box-office but is regarded as one of Salman’s cult classics.

Karan Arjun, 1995

Starring Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Mamta Kulkarni, Raakhee, and Johnny Lever in lead roles, the film was another of Salman’s blockbusters. It had Amrish Puri essaying the antagonist's role. The plot consisted of two brothers who were reincarnated to avenge the death of their father by killing their greedy uncle who was indeed the murderer. Karan Arjun was produced and directed by Rakesh Roshan.

Hum Saath Saath Hain, 1999

The Indian film was one of the first musical dramas of the time. The story revolved around the three brothers and their spouses. It aimed at heavily showcasing Indian values and traditions. Hum Saath Saath Hain portrayed the pre and post-wedding functions in a way that highlighted the significance of the rich Indian culture. It is opined by critics that this was one of Salman’s greatest hits.

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, 1999

Around the same year, Salman hit the big screens with another of his best performance. He was seen acting alongside the popular actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The romantic drama film was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Salman’s film won 7 glorious awards in the 45th Filmfare awards making its place on the list of Salman Khan’s greatest hits in the 90s.
