'A beautiful story of self-discovery that touched my life in many ways': Hrithik Roshan gets nostalgic as 'Lakshya' completes 16 years

Hrithik Roshan's much-celebrated 2004 venture 'Lakshya' completed 15 years on Tuesday, June 18. Redefining aspiration and self-discovery for an entire generation, the film became a sensation back then. Directed by Farhan Akhtar and produced under the banner of his Excel Entertainment, the film also starred Preity Zinta and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles.

To commemorate the milestone, Hrithik took to Twitter and shared a heartfelt post talking about how the film has influenced his life in many ways. The actor who played the role of an aimless young man turning into a responsible army officer got nostalgic. Sharing a post put out by Excel Entertainment, he reminisced everything the film has done for him.

In the post, he wrote, "A beautiful story of self-discovery that touched my life in many ways. Lakshya resonated with my phase of self-discovery as an actor. It gave me a friendship of a decade and a half with @FarOutAkhtar & @ritesh_sid. (1/2)"

Meanwhile, on the work front, Hrithik Roshan is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming educational drama 'Super 30'. In the movie, Hrithik will essay the role of a mathematician Anand Kumar and his famous educational programme Super 30. Anand Kumar achieved the remarkable feat by educating underprivileged Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) aspirants to crack the entrance exam for the prestigious institute.

Produced by Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films, Super 30 also stars Mrunal Thakur, Amit Sadh, and Nandish Sandhu. The film will hit the theatres on July 12.
