Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan remembered his grandfather Harivansh Rai Bachchan on his 111th birth anniversary.

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan remembered his grandfather Harivansh Rai Bachchan on his 111th birth anniversary. The actor took to Instagram and shared a throwback picture with his grandfather where a very young Abhishek can be seen posing with the celebrated poet. The bright smile on his face showed how much he enjoyed his grandfather's company. Abhishek captioned the post saying, "It would have been my Dadaji's 111th birthday today. He gave us the gift of words, and today they fall short. Happy birthday Dadaji. Love you."

Earlier on the day, megastar Amitabh Bachchan also paid tribute to his late father. The veteran actor who has been reciting poems of his 'Babu Ji' on public platforms since long, penned a blog post in remembrance of him. 

'27th November 1907.. the birth of Babu ji.. my father as we lovingly address him in public.. and Dad at home... Dada ji for Shweta and Abhishek.. par Dada ji for Aaradhya' the actor wrote. He also shared a few black and white images, including a 'stamp' which was inaugurated in his father's name in 2003.

Harivansh Rai Bachchan, known by his pen name Bachchan, and is celebrated for his works including 'Himmat Karne Walon Ki Haar Nahi Hoti', 'Agnipath Ruke Na Tu' and 'Madhushala', among others. 

The Bollywood Bachchan family is known to share very strong bonds. Amitabh Bachchan often mentions his late parents, Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan either at events or on social media.
