Aditya Roy Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's fresh pairing in the movie Sadak 2

Mahesh Bhatt is once again set to direct the second instalment to his film, Sadak that released in 1991. The movie is named Sadak 2. The movie stars Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapoor. This is the first venture where Alia and her dad Mahesh Bhatt will work together.  Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt are reprising their respective roles once again. The movie is scheduled to release in 2020. On Mahesh Bhatt’s 70^th birthday, Alia posted on Instagram: 

Sadak 2 movie plot

Alia Bhatt is set to play the daughter of Sanjay Dutt in Sadak 2. In the original movie, Sanjay Dutt is a taxi driver who falls in love with a sex worker and they both face the repercussions. In Sadak 2, the story will pick up several years after the events of the original film. Sanjay Dutt also reportedly said that the movie will be “an emotional film.” Alia Bhatt will reportedly play the daughter of Sanjay Dutt’s character Ravi from Sadak. She will help him get through his drug abuse, and lead a dignified life. The film will deal with the issue of depression.

Second schedule of Sadak 2

The actors have been shooting for this film for quite some time now. The second schedule of the movie will be on floors soon. The first schedule highlighted more on Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt. It lasted for a few days and was wrapped up in May. The second schedule will be reportedly shot in Ooty. It is set to shoot the imperative parts of the movie regarding Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapoor in the film.

Aditya Roy Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are already very good friends in real life. It would be interesting to witness their chemistry on-screen. Both actors hold each other in high regard and spoke highly on working with each other. Besides, the sequel movies tend to do well at the box office, as Aashiqui 2 did in 2013. The trailer of the movie is expected to release soon. It is expected to be filled with surprises for the original Sadak fans to break down the trailer details and references from the original movie. The audience is stoked about Alia and Aditya’s romance in the film.
