Bollywood actor Aditya Roy Kapur turns 34 on Saturday, November 16, 2019, and he recently completed a decade in Bollywood industry. He started his career with 2009 release London Dreams. Since then the actor has given various performances in the movies like Aashiqui 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Ok Jaanu and many more. The tragic movie Aashiqui 2 gave him a major hit and in that movie, he lost his lady love played by Shraddha Kapoor. Here are a few of his movies in which his characters lost their lady loves.
The film was a successor to the 1990 release musical film Aashiqui, which was also a massive hit at the box office. Aashiqui 2 went on to become Vishesh Film's highest-grossing film of all time. In the film, we see Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead role as a singer named Rahul. He is one of the best, but in a tragic turn of events, he becomes an alcoholic. Later, he meets a small-time singer, Arohi, played by Shraddha Kapur. He makes all her dreams of becoming a big singer come true and then dies at the end of the movie.
The film was touted as one of the biggest films of the year. Set in the pre-independent India in the city of Husanabad, it is the story of Satya Chaudhry (Sonakshi) learning that she’s suffering from cancer. Upon realising this, she heads back to her native village and requests her childhood friend, Roop (Alia Bhatt), to provide companionship to her husband, Dev Chaudhry (Aditya Roy Kapur).
When Roop moves in the Chaudhry house, she meets Zafar (Varun Dhawan) in the city. Zafar aims to seduce Roop as he wants to exact revenge from Balraj for abandoning him and his mother Bahaar Begum (Madhuri Dixit). The film, however, did not fare well at the box office.
The actor has many lined up films in 2020. The Fitoor actor will be next seen in Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2 which is the sequel to the 1991 release film Sadak. He is paired opposite Alia Bhatt and is slated to release on July 20, 2020. Apart from this, Aditya Roy Kapur will be also seen in Mohit Suri’s Malang with Disha Patani, Kunal Khemmu, and Anil Kapur. The film is jointly produced by Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Jay Shewakraman. The film recently completed shooting on October 7 and is slated to release on Valentine’s Day 2020.
