After Bihar, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot also declares Hrithik Roshan's 'Super 30' tax-free; stops short of asking for a film on Kota

After Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also declared Hrithik Roshan's 'Super 30' tax-free in the state. He took to Twitter on Thursday, July 18, and made the announcement. Hailing the educational drama he said that the Anand Kumar biopic is an 'excellent example of exceptional willpower and determination'.

He further stated, "We must take inspiration from such films and imbibe the value of ' excellence in education' in the youth of our society today. I hereby declare this film tax-free in the state of Rajasthan. #Super30"

'Super 30' directed by Vikas Bahl chronicles the life story of India's mathematician-educationalist Anand Kumar. The mathematical genius based in Bihar opens an institute to teach the underprivileged children. Under the 'Super 30' initiative, Anand trained Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) aspirants crack the entrance exam to the prestigious institutes.

Netizens have made the connection between Bihar's 'Super 30' and Rajasthan's Kota town which is a capital-of-sorts for IIT coaching, where students arrive in droved each year to settle in for two years of grueling Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.

Meanwhile, the film is also appreciated by the Vice President of the country, Venkaiah Naidu. The Vice President said he was ‘deeply moved’ by the story of Anand Kumar, the mathematician-educationist and founder of Super 30, on whom the movie is based on. Naidu also stated that he was impressed with the performance of Hrithik and the supporting cast while congratulating the makers for showcasing the ‘missionary zeal’ of the teacher.

The makers of ‘Super 30’ held a screening for the Vice President at the Uprashtrapati Bhawan, in New Delhi on Wednesday. Apart from Hrithik and Kumar, the others who were present were producer Sajid Nadiadwala, Anand Kumar’s brother Pranav Kumar and the Vice President’s family members.

The biopic is produced by Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films. Besides Hrithik, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur, Amit Sadh, and Nandish Sandhu in pivotal roles. It has hit the theaters on July 12.
