After Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam receives special honour post success of 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', here's what it is

'Uri: The Surgical Strike', starring Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal and others has taken the nation by storm. Now, after the lead man, Vicky was flooded with special gestures, it is now Yami's turn to receive a rare honour.

'Uri: The Surgical Strike', starring Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal and others has taken the nation by storm. The patriotic action film has received a huge thumbs up from the audiences, critics as well as army personnel. Now, after the lead man, Vicky was flooded with special gestures, it is now Yami's turn to receive a rare honour.

Turns out that the actress recently visited Amritsar for promoting the film and there she was felicitated by the BSF regiment. Needless to say, Yami was really touched by this gesture from the brave hearts. Not only that but she also received a special token of appreciation from senior officials of the Amritsar regiment. The picture of her felicitation has since surfaced on social media. 

In the click, a beaming Yami Gautam can be seen receiving an award from the officials as she looks beautiful in a lavender traditional salwar. The actress played the role of intelligence officer Pallavi Sharma, who assisted Vicky Kaushal's Major Vihan Shergill in carrying out the surgical strike in PoK. Shown as sharp, tough and someone who can't be intimidated, her performance was appreciated by one and all. 

In the meantime, Vicky has also been getting a lot of love from all over the place. The actor actually received a baked cake from the flight attendants with a handwritten note asking him, "How' the josh?". Not only that but Amul, which is famous for its topical cartoons, also shared a new sketch based on his character from the film.

Not only that, but the famous war cry from the film, "How's the josh?", has become a national mantra with everyone saying it. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Raksha Mantri Nirmala Sitharaman did not fail from showing their enthusiasm for the film. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has already crossed Rs 160 crore and is showing no signs of stopping.
