1. Devdas (2002)

Aishwarya Rai nailed the look of a Bengali beauty, Paro, in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali romance musical. She redefined the Indian traditional look with her intricate jewellery, dyed hands, heavy sarees, and the classic red bindi. She donned the traditional Bengali outfit in the entire movie and made the fans go ‘Dola Re’ with her looks.

2. Jodhaa Akbar (2008)

Aishwarya Rai played the role of a young Rajput princess in the historical drama film. She nailed the look of Jodhaa with polka jewellery and elaborate lehengas. The film won designer Neeta Lulla the IIFA Award for Best Costume Design that year. Aishwarya’s portrayal of the Rajput princess won her accolades from all corners of the industry.

3. Umrao Jaan (2006)

The film has Aishwarya Rai Bachchan play the titular role opposite her husband Abhishek Bachchan. Aishwarya wore anarkalis with net dupattas throughout the entire movie paired with beautiful pasa jewellery. Her alluring dance numbers in the period drama film were amongst the chartbusters that year.

4. Dhoom 2 (2006)

Dhoom 2 redefined style statements with its fashionable outfits that were donned by all the lead actors including Aishwarya Rai. She ditched her innocent traditional look and proved that she can nail the western look as well. Aishwarya wore trendy ripped skirts, shorts, and blouses complete with boots and nude makeup. Dhoom 2 is considered to be Aishwarya’s most fashionable avatar until now.

5. Action Replayy (2010)

Aishwarya Rai transported us to the early 90s with Action Replayy. She pulled off the classic 90s fashion items like polka-dotted outfits, headbands, hoop earrings, and winged eyeliner with almost zero effort. The film brought the trend of 90s fashion back in the 2000s.
