Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan & others mourn Hrithik Roshan's grandfather, filmmaker J. Om Prakash's demise

Legendary Bollywood filmmaker and Hrithik Roshan's maternal grandfather, J. Om Prakash passed away on Wednesday at the age of 92. Known for directing films like 'Bhagwan Dada', 'Aap Ke Saath', 'Ayee Milan Ki Bela' and 'Sawan Jhoom Ke', the veteran filmmaker was a much-celebrated name in the industry. Following his demise, several Bollywood celebrities took to Twitter to pay tribute to the departed soul. 

Amitabh Bachchan

Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter and grieved the loss. Calling him 'director of an eminence' hailed his work and extended praisers for his soul.

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn also mourned the death of the veteran filmmaker. In a recent Twitter post, he said that J.Om Prakash will be missed and remembered forever. He also extended condolence to Hrithik Roshan and family.

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar also paid tribute to late producer-director J.Om Prakash. The actor who had previously posted about former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who passed away yesterday said that he is sad to hear another sad demise. Hailing the works of the late filmmaker, he extended condolences to Hrithik and family.

Besides his career as a director-producer, J Om Prakash also served as the president of the Film Federation of India from 1995-1996. His last rites were performed in Mumbai with Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan leading the procession.
