Industry experts in Bollywood believe that the speed at which Akshay Kumar has spread contemporary themes across films and social media is exceptional for someone who is one of the biggest names in the industry today. The Khiladi Kumar has been very vocal in creating awareness about the current issues and in support of diverse initiatives which includes advocating self-defence for women, amongst other things.

Akshay Kumar’s wife Twinkle Khanna starts #whythegap initiative to encourage education for children

It started when Twinkle Khanna shared a picture from her high school days emphasizing on the importance of educating girls. She then nominated her actor-husband Akshay to share their stories to which Akshay posted a picture of him on Instagram focusing on the importance of health and nutrition growing up.

The initiative primarily focusses on reducing gender inequality, the initiative is part of 'Save The Children's' 100-day digital campaign. Various celebrities are now joining in on the trend are sharing their childhood experiences while reflecting on their fortunes and what got them to where they stand today.

On the work-front

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Akshay Kumar will be seen in the upcoming multi-period comedy film Housefull 4, which also stars Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde in the lead. Directed by Farhad Samji, the film is set to release on 26 October, 2019.

Akshay is also busy shooting for Rohit Shetty’s next, Sooryavanshi which will release in 2020. It will star Sikandar Kher as the antagonist.
