Akshay Kumar responds to tweet: Is Bell Bottom a Kannada movie remake?

Akshay Kumar was questioned by a fan on his Twitter whether his upcoming movie Bell Bottom is a remake of a Kannada film. Akshay Kumar was quick to respond that the movie is not a remake of any film. He also added that Bell Bottom is an original screenplay that is inspired by true events.

Akshay had posted the first look of the film on his Instagram account. He revealed the title of the movie along with the release date. In the caption of his post, Akshay wrote that the movie is set in the '80s and asked his fans to hop onto the roller-coaster spy ride:

The poster of the movie shows Akshay wearing a dark brown suit paired with dark shades. He can be seen sporting a big moustache. Ranjit M Tewari is directing the movie. Vashu Bhagnani, Jacky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani have produced the film. The movie is all set to release on January 22, 2021.

Akshay Kumar's response to the tweet sent his fans into a frenzy. Bell Bottom will be joining Kumar's long list of movies inspired by true events, like Rustom and Mission Mangal. According to ANI News, Akshay's last movie Housefull 4 has managed to earn ₹ 109 crores in five days.

Akshay Kumar also has two movies lined up. He will be seen the movie Good Newwz starring alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani. Kiara and Akshay are also working for the movie Laxmmi Bomb. It is a horror-comedy directed by Raghava Lawrence. Kumar is also a part of Rohit Shetty's next flick Sooryavanshi.
