Akshay Kumar: The Housefull 4 actor talks this about comedy roles

Akshay Kumar recently revealed in an interview on why he loved to do the comedy genre. He said that he can relate with the action and comedy genre effortlessly.

Akshay Kumar is one of those few Bollywood celebs who has managed to stay relevant in the minds of the audience due to his versatile performances. The Housefull 4 actor is hungry for meaty roles which often enables him to push his limits. While Akshay is known for his films which revolve mostly around social issues, he is also widely popular for his impeccable comic timing. With films like Housefull, Hera Pheri, Hey Baby, De Dana Dan, and Singh Is King, the actor has time and again proved that he is the master of this genre. Akshay recently spoke about his love for the comedy genre in a recent interview.

Akshay Kumar revealed that he relates to the action and comedy genre

Akshay recently spoke to an esteemed publication about doing comedy performances. The actor revealed that comedy is not an easy thing to do. He further added that it looks easy because as an actor, he loves to do comedy roles. The Khiladi Kumar said that half the battle is won already when you love the genre. He also added that every actor has a strong point. He said that dancing comes naturally to some actors. Speaking further on the genres that he loves, Akshay revealed that he likes being a part of comedy and action genres because those kind of roles come effortlessly to him.

Akshay Kumar said that it was difficult for him to break out of the stereotype of an action hero

Akshay was also quipped on whether there is a conflict between the serious and the comedy roles which are essayed by him in his films. To this, Akshay Kumar revealed that there is never a conflict between these two genres. He went on to say that he gets into a film, being well versed with the performance. The Padman star also said that it is impossible for everyone to be serious all the time. He revealed that this makes it necessary for an actor to explore a slapstick comedy too.

Akki also said that it was difficult for him to break out of the stereotype of an action hero. He then said that he does not wish to slip into another stereotype. The actor thus revealed that it is important for him to try newer spaces and do different things. On a concluding note, he revealed that he tries to cater to the needs of every type of audience.
